The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) held a promotional meeting in Moscow with the participation of several officials and leaders from Saudi Arabia and Russia, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
New Chapter
The promotional meeting showcased the aspects of Saudi-Russian cooperation and the Kingdom’s most magnificent tourist destinations and their readiness to welcome Russian tourists.
As part of the Kingdom’s bold vision to secure a prestigious position on the global tourism map, the meeting aimed primarily at attracting new segments of international tourists and signing strategic partnerships with international tourism companies.
“This Land is Calling”
The meeting comes after the remarkable success achieved by the Saudi international tourism campaign “This Land is Calling”.
In August 28, Saudi’s national tourism brand ‘Saudi, Welcome to Arabia’ launched a new spellbinding international campaign “This Land is Calling”.
The campaign targets international tourists and visitors from the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, and the United States.
It focuses on showcasing the depth and breadth of a land still full of mystery for many people across the world.
“With this campaign, we hope to ignite the curiosity of the traveler who craves the excitement of a completely new experience – whether in culture, adventure, sport, or entertainment. Saudi has been enjoying stellar growth in demand witnessing a 73 per cent growth in the annual average of tourists from Europe and the United States, and we continue to work with local and global partners to increase and enrich our offerings, so the 150 million tourists we welcome by 2030 can truly experience the pulsating Heart of Arabia,” said CEO and a Member of the Board, Saudi Tourism Authority, Fahd Hamidaddin.
Promising Partnerships
Moreover, STA has signed several partnerships in June with Yandex and Avia Sales companies to promote the Russian tourist experience and ensure smooth and unforgettable journeys in the heart of the Kingdom.
Successful Efforts
During the meeting, Hamidaddin emphasized that the meeting mirrors the significance of the Russian market to the Kingdom.
He also stressed that Saudi Arabia is fully prepared to welcome Russian tourists after several promising efforts to simplify procedures and provide seamless services.
