Biban24: LBS Expands MENA Startup Competition to Saudi Arabia

The London Business School (LBS), has expanded its MENA Startup Competition into Saudi Arabia, as part of Biban24 Forum in Riyadh, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The LBS is represented by its Entrepreneurship Clubs in London and Middle East and supported by the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Private Capital. It will hold the Startup Competition in collaboration with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha’at).

LBS MENA Startup Competition

The third edition of the Competition will feature 10 startups selected from hundreds of applicants. These include: Adwiyah, Dawraty, UBQT, Revent, METUTORS, Mbshr, Petalens, UniToni, Tahdir, and Unipal.

The selected startups will have the opportunity to participate in the special demonstration day at the Biban24 Forum. These companies come from across the Middle East and North Africa region. They include startups from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, the UAE, Morocco, Türkiye, and Bahrain, adding a regional dimension to the competition.

Moreover, the LBS Startup Competition, which has established itself as a prominent platform for fostering innovation across the MENA region, provides a significant opportunity for showcasing entrepreneurial talent in the Middle East and North Africa.

Supporting Vision 2030

The competition’s expansion to Saudi Arabia aligns with the objectives of Vision 2030, which aims to establish the Kingdom’s position as a regional and global hub for entrepreneurship and innovation.

Furthermore, the expansion underscores the London Business School’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurial environment in the region and enhancing its communication with the MENA entrepreneurial community.

The MENA Startup Competition also emphasizes LBS’ vision to empower innovative ideas and provide startups with the needed support to accelerate their growth. This, in turn, contributes to fostering innovation and sustainable growth in the region.

Biban24 Forum

Under the theme Global Destination for Opportunities, Biban24 Forum is taking place from November 5-9, 2024, at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Center.

It aims to facilitate access to funding and investors, in order to empower entrepreneurs to achieve their goals and build successful businesses in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Biban24 gathers more than 45 funding entities to offer their financial products and services. It also provides over 10,000 diverse investment opportunities for entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across various sectors, including sports and entertainment, automotive maintenance, agriculture, finance, public utilities, construction and real estate.
