Jeddah is gearing up to host a major Gulf sporting spectacle as Khaleeji 27 arrives in the Red Sea from September 23 to October 6, 2026.
Jeddah’s Gulf Football Moment
The 27th edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup will bring together eight national teams for 15 matches under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The upcoming regional competition will mark the tournament’s first edition in Jeddah.
The stage is set across Jeddah’s King Abdullah Sports City and Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City, where eight national teams will enter the competition across two groups.
Group A will bring together Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, and Kuwait, while Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, and Yemen will compete in Group B.
The road to the title will culminate in a final encounter that will determine the champion.

Carrying a distinctly national resonance from the outset, Khaleeji 27’s kickoff will coincide with Saudi National Day.
Highlighting the significance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ patronage, Minister of Sport Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal described the tournament as a vivid reflection of the leadership’s unwavering support for major sporting events and stronger bonds among the Gulf’s peoples.
