W Hotel Brings Luxury Hospitality to Riyadh’s KAFD

Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) has inaugurated the first W Hotel – a prominent luxury lifestyle hotel brand owned by Marriott International – marking the entry of W Hotels into the Kingdom.

The W Riyadh – KAFD is a major stride toward bolstering KAFD’s hospitality offering and promoting the district’s appeal as a prime destination for leading global hospitality brands. It also establishes KAFD as a premier business and leisure travel hub, according to a press release.

Situated in the heart of KAFD’s vibrant, walkable landscape, W Riyadh – KAFD offers effortless access to the district’s premium offices, shopping areas, and cultural venues. Its strategic location also provides a direct link to the KAFD Metro, putting both the city center and King Khalid International Airport just a short ride away.

The hotel features 210 rooms, including 17 suites, 2 penthouses, and the signature W penthouse offerings. It also hosts seven restaurants and lounges, in addition to an open-air poolside venue, serving a vibrant array of world-class flavors.

Furthermore, the hotel dedicates more than 1,000 square meters for events, and offers a range of wellness and lifestyle amenities, including the AWAY Spa and FIT fitness studio.

On this occasion, the CCO of KAFD DMC, Sultan Alobaida, said that the opening of W Riyadh underscores KAFD’s ability to attract international brands that enhance the district’s business and lifestyle ecosystem.

He explained that the demand for high-quality, centrally located hospitality is surging with Saudi Arabia targeting 150 million annual visitors by 2030. Hence, hospitality has become a pillar of KAFD’s integrated lifestyle proposition.

“The addition of W Hotels enhances the district’s position as a destination that brings together work, stay, and lifestyle within a walkable, integrated environment, in line with Vision 2030,” he added.

Meanwhile, Regional Vice President, Middle East Luxury, Erden Kendigelen, said that the hotel’s debut reflects a commitment to bringing the brand’s “progressive design and cultural programming to destinations shaping the future of travel in the Kingdom.
