Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Tourism has held a meeting with Makkah’s hotel managers to provide pilgrims and visitors with seamless services, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The meeting discussed regulatory compliance, the development of the hotel sector, current challenges, and new suggestions to provide visitors and pilgrims with high-quality services.
Crucially, the event underscored the growth of hotel licenses that is driven by increased demand for accommodations and extraordinary pilgrims’ experiences.
Furthermore, the ministry explored how to raise hotel classifications through commitment to quality standards and utilization of the ministry’s development programs.
The meeting also reviewed its plans to boost the guest and pilgrims’ experience, develop hotel services as well as strengthen cooperation between the Ministry and hotels.
As part of the ministry’s pivotal efforts to promote hospitality services, such meetings seek to provide a top-tier experience for visitors and pilgrims, especially as the demand for quality accommodations is growing.
Recently, licensed facilities in Makkah have exceeded 1,000 and licensed rooms reached 268,000 by the end of 2024.
