At Esenboga International Airport in Ankara, Saudi women have presented an honorable model in serving pilgrims through the halls of the “Mecca Road” initiative. They are empowered and qualified to carry out this great duty, and reflected the image of their country.
In the “Mecca Road” initiative , Corporal Maram Al-Zubaidi from the General Directorate of Passports explained that the team ensures pilgrims enter the Kingdom quickly and accurately, providing top services.
Sergeant Sarah Abdulaziz Al-Junaidi from the General Directorate of Passports expressed her first-time involvement with the Makkah Road Initiative as a valuable and enriching experience. She noted that the use of modern devices sped up service provision to pilgrims, enhancing their overall experience.
Al-Junaidi said pilgrims are delighted when people initiate conversation in their native language. It’s a remarkable and joyful experience for them, making communication and understanding easier.
Corporal Sarah Abu Talib expressed her joy upon joining the “Mecca Road” initiative team in Ankara to serve pilgrims, emphasizing the pride in serving religion and the nation. She commended the initiative for prioritizing the comfort and health of pilgrims, especially the elderly majority.
This success is a confirmation of the empowerment of women in the Ministry of Interior in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which considers women an essential partner in national development.
