Saudi Red Sea Authority Grants 1st License to Saudi Cruise Company

Today, the Saudi Red Sea Authority issued the first tourist navigation agent license for cruise ships to the Saudi Cruise Company, owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF).

The Vice President of Coastal Tourism Operations at the Saudi Red Sea Authority, Engineer Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Bukhari, handed over the tourist navigation agent license to the CEO of Destination Experiences at the Saudi Cruise Company, Barbara Bozek, at the company’s headquarters in Jeddah.

This step comes as part of the Authority’s accelerated steps to build a promising coastal tourism sector. It also attach importance to the framework of its tasks that include issuing the necessary licenses and permits to organize coastal tourism activities and related businesses within the geographical scope. Moreover, this will encourage investors and projects in the coastal tourism sector.

The tourist navigation agent provides services to marine vessels – yachts and cruise ships – to carry out tourist navigation activities, in addition to facilitating and supporting their movement within the geographical scope of the Kingdom.
