Saudi Nuclear Science Team has secured 4 international medals in the 1st edition of the 2024 Nuclear Science Olympiad, held in Clark City, Philippines, Mawhiba announced.
The team members were among 55 students from 14 countries, competing in the Olympiad from July 31 to August 7.
The Saudi students secured one silver medal and three bronze medals, as follows:

The Secretary-General of the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), Dr. Amal Al-Hazza, has congratulated the brilliant students for their remarkable success in this international competition.
Al-Hazza noted that this success was driven by the unwavering support and strong cooperation between “Mawhiba” and the Ministry of Education and other prestigious entities.
Furthermore, she mentioned that the launch of the Nuclear Science Olympiad is a crystallization of the successful cooperation between Mawhiba and the following entities:
- The King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology
- The King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy
Al-Hazza also commended the unlimited support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and his Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.
