Saudi Science and Engineering Team Heads to US for ISEF 2025

The Saudi Science and Engineering Team will travel to Ohio, the US, on Friday to participate in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2025), reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Running from May 10-16, 2025, ISEF 2025 will see the participation of 1,700 students from 70 countries. The Saudi Science and Engineering Team will include 40 students, selected from more than 291,000 participants in the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity “Ibdaa,” with 23,000 research projects across 22 scientific fields.
Saudi Arabia’s participation in ISEF is supported by the Saudi Ministry of Education and the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba).
Since 2007, the Kingdom has been an active participant in ISEF, the largest global competitive scientific forum for high school students in the fields of science and engineering.
In the previous editions of ISEF, Saudi students secured 160 awards, including 110 grand awards and 50 special awards. At ISEF 2024, the Saudi Science and Engineering Team claimed 27 awards, including 18 grand awards and 9 special awards.
Students participating in ISEF undergo an intensive training and preparation process through Mawhiba programs to enhance their scientific and research skills and qualify them for participation.
