Saudi Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka Unveils 700 Cultural Events

The Saudi Pavilion participating in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, announced an unprecedented cultural and artistic program that includes more than 700 diverse events.

These events will include live performances held in the pavilion’s courtyard on a daily basis. The pavillion organisers aim to create a rich cultural and artistic heritage.

Commissioner General of the Saudi Pavilion participating in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, Othman Almazyad, said: “We look forward to enabling visitors to learn about the Kingdom, its traditions, its transformation journey, and its vision for a sustainable and shared future, and to experience an exciting journey of new discoveries in the Saudi Pavilion.”

He added: “Our skilled young chefs will present a mixture of flavors inspired by various regions of the Kingdom, while musicians and artists will present daily performances and showcase the Kingdom’s rich cultural heritage. The projects that we will display to visitors will demonstrate our firm commitment to moving forward on the journey of transformation towards a future full of sustainability and prosperity economic.”

The Saudi pavilion’s ambitious program features a variety of performances, including traditional arts, classical music, exclusive Saudi film releases, and fashion shows. Visitors can explore the Kingdom’s history. The pavilion also includes the Saudi Market Pavilion, a gift shop with over 200 unique souvenirs showcasing authentic Saudi craftsmanship.

The pavilion will showcase the Coral Reef Revival Initiative from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). This initiative aims to plant and revive hundreds of thousands of coral reefs along the pristine Red Sea coast in NEOM, covering 100 hectares. It also plans to create the world’s largest coral reef incubator on Jeddah Beach, expected to produce 400,000 corals annually.

The Saudi pavilion program includes introducing major Saudi projects, such as: the giant “NEOM” project, which is known worldwide for its reimagining of urban life by developing new models of sustainable living, in addition to its embrace of the Gulf of Aqaba, Oxagon, Trogena, and (The Line) the extended city. Along an area of ​​​​170 kilometers from the mountains of Neom. The city is 500 meters above sea level, does not contain any roads or cars, and does not cause any emissions. It can accommodate nine million people, and will be operated entirely on renewable energy. 95% of its land area will be allocated to natural terrain.

It is noteworthy that the relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Japan have become more established and developed thanks to the Saudi-Japanese Vision 2030. The Saudi pavilion will allow companies and investors from Japan and around the world to see the economic diversity of the Kingdom. It aims to enter new partnerships and expand the scope of existing agreements.
