Saudi Media Minister Inspects Media Headquarters at the Holy Sites

Saudi Arabia’s Media Minister Salman bin Youssef Al-Dossary has inspected media headquarters at the holy sites to enhance the Kingdom’s media coverage and documentation of Hajj rituals during 2024 season, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

At the beginning of his tour, Al-Dossary checked the preparations at the Media Ministry’s headquarters in Arafat and the innovative techniques used by the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) to cover the Hajj rituals in Arafat.

Then, he moved to Jabal Al Rahmah Tower and inspected the mobile television studios.

Furthermore, Al-Dossary visited the ministry’s headquarters in Mina and checked the readiness of the studios of the Radio and Television Authority.

During his tour, he visited the Saudi Press Agency “SPA” media center in Mina and held meetings with the SPA personnel.

Al-Dossary highlighted the pivotal role of media in showcasing the Kingdom’s efforts and initiatives to serve pilgrims under the auspicious of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and his Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.

Hajj Media Hub

It is noteworthy that the Saudi Ministry of Media unveiled the first edition of the “Hajj Media Hub” initiative.

It takes place in Mecca from June 10 till 16 to elevate the efficiency of media coverage during Hajj 2024.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Pilgrim Experience Program, the initiative is a one of the promising programs outlined by the Year of Media Transformation.

The newly launched initiative primarily aims at supporting the pivotal role of media coverage during this year’s Hajj.

It is anticipated to serve more than 150 local, Arab, Islamic, and international media outlets, and over 1,500 local and international media professionals.

The hub has established 11 supportive media areas, a headquarters for news conferences, a fully equipped media center and an interactive media exhibition showcasing the services provided to pilgrims.

Furthermore, the event will include numerous studios alongside the Virtual Press Center (VPC), where a professional team showcases interactive screen presentations and provides continuous updates and services 24/7 till the end of the event.

The initiative stands as a testament to the Kingdom’s commitment to efficiently serving the guests of Allah and the media sector’s great transformation to achieve the Saudi Vision 2030.
