Saudi Ministry of Media unveiled the first edition of the “Hajj Media Hub” initiative, held in Mecca from June 10 till 16 to elevate the efficiency of media coverage during Hajj 2024, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
In collaboration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Pilgrim Experience Program, the initiative is a one of the promising programs outlined by the Year of Media Transformation.
The newly launched initiative primarily aims at supporting the pivotal role of media coverage during this year’s Hajj.
It is anticipated to serve more than 150 local, Arab, Islamic, and international media outlets, and over 1,500 local and international media professionals.
The hub has established 11 supportive media areas, a headquarters for news conferences, a fully equipped media center and an interactive media exhibition showcasing the services provided to pilgrims.
Furthermore, the event will include numerous studios alongside the Virtual Press Center (VPC), where a professional team showcases interactive screen presentations and provides continuous updates and services 24/7 till the end of the event.
The hub presents a valuable opportunity for all media agencies to explore the state-of-the-art technologies to achieve more innovation and creativity in the international and local media coverage during Hajj 2024.
The Hajj Media Hub stands as a testament to the Kingdom’s commitment to efficiently serving the guests of Allah and the media sector’s great transformation to achieve the Saudi Vision 2030.
