Saudi Media Forum Concludes, Announces Award Winners
The fourth Saudi Media Forum, held from February 19 to 21 under the theme “Media in an Evolving World,” concluded with a grand closing ceremony attended by Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary and other dignitaries. The event marked the announcement of award winners across 14 media and communications categories.
As the largest specialized media gathering in the Middle East, the forum attracted over 80,000 local and international visitors. It featured more than 80 dialogue sessions and 30 workshops, fostering strong engagement and participation. The event also facilitated strategic networking opportunities, enabling local companies to collaborate with global counterparts and address the rapid transformations in the media industry. Additionally, five initiatives were launched to develop national media talent, alongside six interactive experiences.
Meanwhile, the Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX) highlighted cutting-edge technologies and innovations in the media sector, with over 250 participating local and international companies.
The forum also fostered key partnerships, resulting in 16 strategic memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements between government agencies and private-sector entities. These agreements focus on broadcasting, media training, and the development of national expertise in tourism and sports storytelling—supporting economic growth in alignment with Vision 2030.
Over three days, the forum served as a platform to explore global media trends, assess the potential of new media, and examine the role of soft power in today’s digital landscape.
