From collages to dynamic video installations, “W’ard” promises visitors with seamless experiences through a vast array of unparalleled artworks that combine mixed media pieces with texture.

Rose as a Symbol of Unity

Fully aware of the significance of flowers in Saudi communities, Alismail has selected roses to represent unity among Saudis and mirror “the shared appreciation for Talal Maddah’s songs that gained popularity in the late 1950s and resonated with both youth and older generations,” he said.

In the light of this, the sprawling exhibition features an artistic experience that celebrates unity in the diversity of humanity.

“I see my artwork as a reflection of who I am, but once it’s out in the world, it belongs to everyone to interpret and connect with however they choose,” he stated.

Recently, he has moved to Melbourne, Australia, to pursue a master’s degree in design innovation and technology at RMIT.

Untapped Horizons

For drawing and painting, the artist provides his audience with a comprehensive dive into the intricate complexities of Saudi social dynamics.

As an invitation for viewers to think about the tiny details of human relationships and expressions, Alismail relies on specific practices to spark everyday conversations.

“What my audience has seen from me before is different from what I’m creating now, and I know it’ll have even more depth down the line,” he said.
