Saudi Arabia Welcomes Pakistani Conjoined Twins for Separation Assessment

Pakistani conjoined twins Sufyan and Yusuf arrived in Riyadh on Monday with their family, acting on directives from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Upon their arrival at King Khalid International Airport, the twins were swiftly transferred to King Abdullah Specialized Children’s Hospital under the Ministry of National Guard.

Currently, the medical team is evaluating their condition and assessing the possibility of a separation surgery.

Dr. Abdullah Al‑Rabeeah, Royal Court Adviser, Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, and Head of the Medical and Surgical Team for the Saudi Conjoined Twins Program, expressed sincere appreciation to the leadership for championing this humanitarian initiative.

Al‑Rabeeah added that the program reflects Saudi Arabia’s leadership in advanced medicine and mirrors its humanitarian dedication to caring for children who suffer complex medical challenges.

He also affirmed that the Saudi medical team’s accumulated expertise and leading record in conjoined twin separation surgeries has solidified the Kingdom’s standing as a global leader in this field.

The Kingdom now stands out as a reference point for advanced medical practice and a source of hope for several families around the world seeking treatment for their children.

The twins’ family expressed their sincere gratitude to Saudi Arabia’s leadership and people for their generosity, warm reception, as well as the swift response to their case.
