Saudi Arabia and China has on Monday held the second round of political consultations at the headquarters of the Saudi Foreign Ministry in Riyadh, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The Saudi Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Waleed El-Khereiji, and the Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deng Li, co-chaired the meeting, representing their respective governments.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the progress in bilateral relations and discussed the importance of strengthening joint coordination to meet the aspirations of both Saudi Arabia and China.
Furthermore, the meeting explored topics of mutual interest and discussed the latest regional and international developments.
The second round of Saudi-Chinese political consultations saw the participation of Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to China, Abdulrahman Al-Harbi, and Director of the Department of the Asian Countries at the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Al-Ghanoum.
Separately, the Saudi Defense Minister, Prince Khalid bin Salman, met on Sunday with China’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Chang Hua.
During their talks, they reviewed the friendly relations between both countries and exchanged views on various topics of common interest.

Earlier in September, the High-Level Saudi-Chinese Joint Committee held a meeting in Riyadh, focusing on bolstering the strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and China across all fields.
During the meeting, both sides explored ways to enhance cooperation across a wide range of fields, including politics, security, defense, energy, trade and investment, finance, science, technology, culture, and tourism. The meeting also discussed regional and international issues of common interest.
