Reflecting this momentum, Princess Sarah bint Bandar, Executive Director of the International Dates Council, met Turkish Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Emrullah Isler at the Turkish Embassy in Riyadh on Sunday.
Their meeting focused on the council’s mission, its pivotal role in driving the growth of the global dates sector, and Türkiye’s potential membership, including the procedures for joining.

Standing as one of the world’s leading importers of dates, bringing in 67,093 tonnes worth $133.7 million in 2025, Türkiye serves as a strategically important market whose membership could further solidify the council’s international footprint.
