Saudi Arabia Begins Early Visa Issuance for 2026 Hajj Season

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has officially announced the launch of visa issuance for the 2026 Hajj season (1447 AH), beginning Sunday, February 8, according to the Saudi Gazette.

This early start represents a key pillar of an accelerated timeline that seeks to foster service readiness and ensure the comfort of guests of Allah almost four months ahead of Hajj season.

The Ministry of Hajj announced the completion of all service contracts at the holy sites for international pilgrims, emphasizing full operational readiness ahead of the pilgrimage season.

It further announced that accommodation agreements in Makkah have been secured through the Nusk platform, ensuring comprehensive arrangements for visitors.

To date, 750,000 pilgrims have registered, including 30,000 who booked packages directly from their home countries.

The ministry highlighted the allocation of nearly 485 camps at the holy sites. Moreover, 73 Hajj affairs offices have finalized their basic contractual arrangements.

The early issuance of Hajj visas stands as a testament to the proactive planning strategy that seeks to streamline preparations and elevate the overall pilgrimage experience.
