Saudi Arabia has officially joined the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI), an initiative established by the G7 and hosted by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.

Represented by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, Saudi Arabia’s membership underscores its growing influence in global AI governance and innovation. Backed by His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the move supports the objectives of Vision 2030, particularly in advancing technology localization and expanding the digital economy’s share of GDP.

As one of more than 40 member countries, Saudi Arabia will contribute to shaping international AI policies, advancing ethical and responsible AI practices, and drawing high-quality global investments to its strong regulatory framework.
