The Saudi aid agency KSrelief has sent 21 trucks loaded with 23,000 food parcels and 3,464 shelter kits to Sudan to assist those affected by the recent flash floods.
Moreover, the Nile River and Northern states are suffering from severe weather conditions that have caused widespread loss of lives and property.
The Saudi ambassador attended a ceremony at the Sudanese Red Sea port of Suakin, along with representatives of relief organizations and national partners.
The aid package also includes initiatives to promote education and vocational training, empowering individuals with the skills needed to rebuild their lives. Additionally, efforts are being made to ensure that food security is strengthened, reducing the risk of hunger and malnutrition in the most vulnerable populations.
KSrelief has been actively coordinating with local and international partners to ensure the efficient delivery and distribution of aid. Furthermore, the relief air bridge highlights Saudi Arabia‘s dedication to alleviating the suffering of vulnerable populations in Sudan during these challenging times.
