The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has launched a medical volunteer project for open-heart and catheterization surgeries in Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic. The project runs from November 9 to 16, 2024, with the participation of 26 volunteers from various medical specialties.
Since the start of the campaign, KSrelief’s medical team has performed 3 open-heart surgeries and 28 catheterization procedures, all of which were successful. This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing medical volunteer efforts in cardiac surgery, provided through KSrelief, its humanitarian arm, aimed at alleviating the suffering of patients and those in need, wherever they may be.
