The Saudi General Authority for Statistics revealed that the annual inflation rate reached 1.9% in October 2024 compared to the same month last year. This inflation rate is among the lowest within the G20 countries.
It is noted that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) reflects changes in the prices consumers pay for a fixed basket of goods and services, comprising 490 items. This basket was selected based on the results of the Household Expenditure and Income Survey conducted in 2018. Prices are collected through field visits to points of sale, and CPI statistics are published on a monthly basis in Saudi Arabia.
