The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), in collaboration with the Standing Committee for International Humanitarian Law, held a specialized scientific course today entitled “International Humanitarian Law and Its Relationship to Counterterrorism” at the Coalition’s headquarters in Riyadh.
The course brought together a distinguished group of legal, military, and security experts from various sectors, in addition to representatives from IMCTC member states.

The program seeks to strengthen understanding of the principles of international humanitarian law and to highlight its regulatory frameworks within counterterrorism contexts, ensuring a balance between security imperatives and adherence to internationally recognized legal and humanitarian standards.

This initiative forms part of IMCTC’s ongoing efforts to build institutional capacity, promote compliance with international humanitarian law, and enhance legal awareness among relevant personnel.
It also reflects the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as the host country, in supporting international initiatives aimed at reinforcing global security and peace through robust legal and humanitarian frameworks.
