

On behalf of President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani, Mauritanian Minister of National Defense Hanana Ould Sidi has awarded the Secretary General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Major General Mohammed Al-Moghedi the Mauritanian National Order of Merit for his role in coordinating international efforts against terrorism and extremism.
Al-Moghedi said this honor motivates him to exert more effort in the fight against terrorism.
He also added that the IMCTC receives great support from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, as they believe that the scourge of terrorism must be eradicated to save the lives of innocent people.
Al-Moghedi also met with the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Major General Mokhtar Bolle Chaabane and discussed issues of common interest.
