Saudi Foreign Minister participates in the 49th session of the OIC in Nouakchot

Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated today in the 49th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, held in Nouakchott.

 

The Council opened the session under the slogan: “Moderation and moderation are the valves of security and stability.”

 

The Minister thanked the Mauritanian government in his speech for hosting and the good preparation for the current session.

 

He also commended the efforts made by the Government of Pakistan during its presidency of the last session.

 

Bin Farhan said, “This meeting comes after the International Day for Combating (Islamophobia).

 

The minister added that this meeting raises awareness of the danger of intolerance against Islam.”

 

He said that the attempts we are witnessing to attack religious sanctities necessitate that we stress the need to respect the values of moderation.

 

Bin Farhan announced the Kingdom’s desire to host the international conference on women in Islam.

 

He said that KSA wants to demonstrate the women’s rights guaranteed by Sharia and to confirm their active role.

 

A minister expressed the Kingdom’s solidarity and sincere condolences to the brothers in Syria and Turkey.

 

He also referred to the Kingdom’s efforts to mitigate the consequences of this disaster by sending urgent aid.

 

He called on the international community to play its role in putting an end to the violations of the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people.

 

The Kingdom’s permanent representative to OIC, Dr. Saleh Al-Suhaibani, participated in the Kingdom’s delegation to this meeting.

 

The Kingdom’s ambassador to Mauritania, Muhammad Al-Balawi, and the Director General of the Office of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdul Rahman Al-Daoud, also participated.
