Haramain high-speed train resumes daily service between Medina and Mecca

The Haramain Express Train (Two Holy Mosques Train) resumed on Wednesday its daily flights between the train stations in Medina and Makkah Al Mukarramah, a week after the resumption of daily journeys between the train stations in Medina and Jeddah. Thus, the train journey system will resume its tracks as usual.

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the director of Al-Haramain Express Train Station in Medina, Saad Al-Shehri said that the Al-Haramain Express Train Station in Medina witnessed today the start of a flight heading to the Al-Haramain Railway Station in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.

Al-Shehri also indicated that “12 round trips” will be conducted every day between the train stations in Medina and Makkah, within the schedule of regular trips on a daily basis and over five days a week, including Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, during which about 5000 passengers are transported daily, indicating that one trip transports 417 passengers.

He pointed to the possibility of increasing the number of daily trips for the “Two Holy Mosques Train” to transport visitors and citizens between the Two Holy Mosques and the Jeddah and Rabigh stations, pointing out that the approval of increasing the trips takes place after conducting the necessary studies in this regard.
