Saudi Arabia’s budget airline Flyadeal announced plans to launch flights to Karachi, Pakistan, starting February 2, 2025. The airline will operate twice-weekly flights from Riyadh and Jeddah to Karachi, marking its entry into South Asia. CEO Steven Greenway emphasized Flyadeal’s commitment to expanding its international network to meet growing travel demands.
“Building on strong cultural and historical ties, we are excited to connect Saudi Arabia and Pakistan with direct flights,” Greenway stated. He applauded Pakistani authorities and the planning team for enabling this significant milestone.
Entry into South Asia Signals Ambitious Expansion
Flyadeal recently operated successful Hajj charters to Pakistan, paving the way for scheduled flights to South Asia. Greenway highlighted the demand for air travel driven by commercial, pilgrim, and family ties between the two nations. “Opening this air corridor was inevitable, given the robust relationship between the Kingdom and Pakistan,” he added.
Tickets for the Karachi flights are now available through the airline’s official booking channels.
Domestic, Regional Growth and Vision 2030
Flyadeal aims to enhance its international footprint as more aircraft join its fleet. The airline plans to add destinations in South Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa within the next 12 months.
This expansion aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to attract 150 million tourists annually by 2030. Flyadeal currently operates nearly 30 destinations across Saudi Arabia, Europe, and North Africa.
Starting January 1, Flyadeal will launch domestic flights from Dammam to Najran, Tabuk, and Yanbu. On the same day, it will also begin services from Riyadh and Jeddah to Amman, Jordan.
Flyadeal’s rapid growth reinforces its position as a key player in Saudi Arabia’s aviation sector, connecting the Kingdom with global destinations.
