First Group of Egyptian Pilgrims Arrive in Saudi Arabia

Ashraqat Company welcomed the first group of pilgrims from the Arab Republic of Egypt who came to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj, reported Ajel.SA.

The company organized a reception and offered Zamzam water, gifts, flowers, Saudi coffee to the group.

The number of the first group of pilgrims from the Arab Republic of Egypt reached approximately 1,000 pilgrims out of 55,000 pilgrims who will perform Hajj this year.

Two days ago, the first group of pilgrims from Bahrain and Jordan left for Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj.

The Jadidat Arar border crossing in the Northern Borders region received more than 20,000 Iraqi pilgrims who arrived in Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj 2024, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The crossing has ramped up preparations to welcome Iraqi pilgrims under the supervision of the Governor of the Northern Borders Region, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz.

Saudi volunteers are currently playing a pivotal role in welcoming the pilgrims and facilitating all hajj procedures.

The spirit of volunteerism has led more than 194 volunteers to step up and assist the elderly, while providing guidance and hospitality.

The volunteers are affiliated with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Northern Border University, the Saudi Red Crescent, the Arar Chamber of Commerce and other organizations.

Saudi Arabia has embarked on a wide range of preparations aimed at providing the pilgrims with smooth and comfortable journey.

Hajj Preparations

The Kingdom has successfully integrated religious digital services, widely invested in technology and artificial intelligence, and professionally promoted applications and digital media.

During this season, it offers a special system using GPS and interactive digital maps to help pilgrims move around the holy sites.

The digital interactive map shows directions to all the facilities provided by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque. They include doors, the library, restrooms, guidance offices, as well as the service of providing manual and electric carts, escalators, elevators, field hospitals, bridges as well as maintenance and work areas.
