Egyptian Tourism Min.: Collaboration with Saudi Arabia Focuses on Integration, Not Competition
The Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Sherif Fathy, announced Egypt cooperates with Saudi Arabia in the tourism sector in order to foster integration rather than competition.
Saudi Arabia and Egypt were negotiating to sign an agreement on the promotion and protection of mutual investments, and there are indications that the signing is imminent.
The Egyptian minister said that tourists from 104 nationalities visited the new city of Alamein this year, 2024, and shared their experiences about their visit with their home countries. Moreover, he added that there is a monthly increase of 6% in tourism flows to Egypt.
