The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia welcomed the joint statement by US President Joe Biden, Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi, and the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, regarding the Gaza ceasefire, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Commitment to Peace and Humanitarian Relief
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed full support for the ongoing efforts to finalize the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip. It also emphasized the importance of addressing the worsening humanitarian conditions in the region.
Call for an End to Violence
The Kingdom stressed the urgent need to halt the violence, alleviate suffering, and protect civilians. It called for advancing towards ending the occupation, achieving peace and security, and restoring the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
