Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Culture Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan has inaugurated the Kingdom’s pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Being the second largest pavilion after Japan’s one, the Kingdom’s pavilion showcases Saudi history, heritage, and innovation.
During the event, the minister expressed sincere gratitude for Japan’s remarkable success in organizing Expo 2025 and for its warm hospitality and generosity.
Prince Bader also offered special thanks to Japanese authorities for their unwavering support to ensure the success of the Saudi pavilion.
In this regard, he underscored that the Kingdom has special ties with Japan especially as they celebrate 70 years of bilateral relations. Interestingly, the pavilion seized the opportunity and invited visitors to tour the pavilion and “discover the authenticity of our heritage, our ambitious transformations, and our rich culture that is open to the world.”
The first day of the event marked the presence of Ghazi Faisal Binzagr, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Japan, and featured the raising of the Saudi flag.
“We are delighted to inaugurate the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, which operates under the slogan ‘Discover Saudi Arabia,’” the Ambassador said.
Importantly, the pavilion served as a valuable opportunity for Saudi Arabia to highlight the shared qualities and harmony between the Kingdom and Japan.
Set to run from April 13 until October 13, Expo 2025 Osaka features more than 700 activities such as musical and theatrical performances, film screenings, performing arts and storytelling.
