The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CSTC) has granted Digital Aramco Company a license to provide specialized wireless communication network services.
This license allows the company to serve the industrial and business sectors, including oil and gas, petrochemicals, tourism and logistics. It also enables the adoption of smart applications and implementation of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for communication and control. This aligns with the Commission’s goal of positioning the Kingdom as a leader in specialized communication services.
The license was handed over by the Governor of the Communications, Space, and Technology Authority, Dr. Mohammed Al-Tamimi, to the President and CEO of Saudi Aramco, Engineer Amin Al-Nasser. This was during the Future Investment Initiative conference.
The authority indicated that this license contributes to creating an environment that fosters innovation and supports the adoption of modern technologies for specialized communication networks. It also aims to unify investments in digital infrastructure. This effort is designed to enhance digital transformation in vital sectors in the Kingdom.
The Communications, Space, and Technology Authority announced on June 6, 2024, that its Board of Directors has approved the qualification of the company Integrated Digital Solutions “Digital Aramco” to compete for the specialized communications network license.
