CST Launches Madarik Program for National Enhancement
The Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) announced the launch of the ‘Madarik’ program to empower national capabilities in the space sector. Partnering with international institutions like the International Space University, Georgia Technical Institute, and others, the program aims to provide specialized professional paths, build a knowledge base, and enhance skills. Courses will be held in Riyadh and Jeddah, with virtual attendance options available nationwide.
The Authority outlined that Madarik program registration offers entry into one of three specialized tracks. Additionally, the space business development track focuses on understanding the space economy and developing skills vital for project success. The space software and data track introduces essential data and software sources for space and satellite tasks. Lastly, the space engineering track enhances participants’ ability to explore engineering disciplines, covering spacecraft design, maintenance, and technology control.
The Madarik program, initiated by the authority, targets recent graduates and experienced professionals in various fields. The space business development track caters to individuals skilled in strategy, business administration, economics, and law. Similarly, the space software and data track attracts those specialized in computer science, data science, data engineering, and cybersecurity. Additionally, the Aerospace Engineering track is designed for professionals in engineering disciplines.
Prospective participants are urged to meet admission criteria, including Saudi nationality, a minimum bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, proficiency in spoken and written English. Finally, participants must commit to the program’s schedule from May 5 to August 15, 2024.
