Saudi’s First Seaplane Company ‘Fly Red Sea’ Kicks off

The Red Sea International Airport
The Red Sea International Airport, located in Hanak, Tabuk region, will serve as Fly Red Sea’s home base. The airport boasts a dedicated seaplane runway parallel to the main terminal, ensuring convenient access for guests.
On October 11, 2023, Fly Red Sea’s first flight coincided with the arrival of the airport’s inaugural guests, a delegation of Saudi ministers and leaders who traveled from Riyadh on a special Saudia flight. This synchronicity marks a momentous occasion for the airport and the seaplane company, signaling the beginning of a new era for Saudi Arabian tourism.
Furthermore, Fly Red Sea aims to expand its fleet to nine seaplanes by 2028 and exceed 20 seaplanes by 2030. The ambitious vision for the new tourism destination includes 50 resorts with over 8,000 hotel rooms and more than 1,000 residential properties spread across 22 islands and six inland sites.
