Dubai Fashion Week Showcasing Global Brands
Dubai Fashion Week brings together designers from around the world to showcase their latest collections. The second day of this prestigious fashion event was filled with stunning showcases by Pipatchara, Lili Blanc, Lama Jouni, and Weinsanto. Below is a closer look at the highlights of each designer’s collection.
Pipatchara: Hand-Knotted Macramé Designs
Thai brand Pipatchara opened the second day of Dubai Fashion Week with their signature hand-knotted macramé designs. The sister duo behind the label presented a collection of body-baring designs that exuded elegance and sophistication. Cutouts were a prominent feature in their evening-ready collection, complemented by a range of neutral tones. However, it was the electric green ensembles that truly stole the show, adding a vibrant touch to the overall aesthetic.
Lili Blanc: Monochromatic Elegance with a Pop of Color
Dubai-based label Lili Blanc, founded by Lebanese designer Sabrina Mouhieddine, showcased a monochromatic collection with pops of neon green and hot pink. The tailored line featured blazer-style dresses, waistcoats paired with miniskirts, and pantsuits elevated by unexpected peek-a-boo cutouts. Mouhieddine’s designs celebrate the beauty of women, and she believes that every woman is unique and beautiful in her own special way.
Lama Jouni: Fun and Vibrant Silhouettes
Lama Jouni, a Lebanese designer known for her work with fashion houses Balmain and Rad Hourani, presented a collection that embraced fun and vibrant silhouettes. Bandeau tops, tightly fitted minidresses, and a playful color palette brought a youthful energy to the runway. Light shades of violet were paired with hot pink tights, creating a bold and eye-catching contrast. While some combinations, like green with pink stockings, were unconventional, others, such as hot pink and red, worked harmoniously together.
Weinsanto: French Elegance with Tunisian Flair
French label Weinsanto, led by designer Victor Weinsanto, showcased their latest collection with the help of Tunisian model Ameni Esseibi. The designer, who has presented collections at Dubai Fashion Week for several seasons, demonstrated his expertise in structured separates and flowy dresses. Exaggerated necklines and sheer skirts added a touch of drama to the collection, while an all-black color palette exuded a sense of elegance and sophistication.
Dubai Fashion Week continues to be a platform that brings together global designers and celebrates their unique perspectives and creative visions. The event showcases the diversity and innovation within the fashion industry, setting trends and inspiring fashion enthusiasts worldwide.
