Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London and one of Britain’s most prominent Muslim politicians, shared Eid Al-Adha greetings from Makkah after completing this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.
Speaking about the spiritual significance of the journey, Khan described the experience as a moment of “pride and blessing.”

“I feel pride and blessing because I was able to perform Hajj alongside more than 1.5 million Muslims,” he said.
According to Saudi authorities, more than 1.7 million pilgrims are participating in this year’s Hajj, the majority coming from outside the Kingdom.
The total number of pilgrims reached 1,707,301 — an increase of 34,071, or 2.04 percent, compared with the 1,673,230 pilgrims who attended the 2025 Hajj.
