In Numbers: SBA Highlights Achievements During Hajj Season 1447

The Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) showcased its accomplishments during the 1447 Hajj season, emphasizing its extensive media coverage of the pilgrimage through an integrated operational and production framework powered by national talent and advanced technologies to deliver the Hajj experience to audiences worldwide.

Across its television and radio networks, as well as digital platforms, SBA provided diverse media content documenting every stage of the Hajj journey while highlighting the Kingdom’s organizational, service, and humanitarian efforts in supporting pilgrims throughout the season.

According to the authority, more than 700 hours of live broadcasting were delivered across television and radio channels, supported by a workforce of over 729 professionals specializing in broadcasting, production, and operations.

Hajj season

SBA produced and aired 41 television and radio programs, in addition to three documentary films exploring the humanitarian, historical, and media aspects of Hajj.

Its coverage also included the production of 700 news stories, more than 320 television and media reports, and 108 radio and television segments, while hosting over 1,100 guests across its media platforms.

The coverage captured the full journey of pilgrims and highlighted the services provided across the holy sites, alongside the organizational, technological, and humanitarian efforts that contributed to the successful execution of the Hajj season.

On the digital side, SBA created 62 digital media products published through its official social media channels, expanding the reach of Hajj-related content and strengthening audience engagement.

SBA stated that these achievements reflect its mission to communicate the Kingdom’s message to the world and demonstrate its commitment to serving pilgrims through professional media coverage of one of Islam’s most significant rituals in its spiritual, humanitarian, and organizational dimensions.
