WWE’s ‘Night of Champions’ Wraps Up in Riyadh with Electrifying Matches, Shocking Moments

WWE’s highly anticipated Night of Champions came to a thrilling close Saturday night at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, as part of the grand Riyadh Season festivities. The event delivered six high-stakes matchups, featuring title clashes, surprise appearances, and defining moments for WWE superstars — all in front of a packed arena and a global audience.
The night kicked off with the King of the Ring final, showcasing a generational showdown between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. The match lived up to the hype, with both competitors displaying signature techniques and deep in-ring psychology. Orton attempted to remove a turnbuckle pad to gain an edge, but the plan backfired as he struck the exposed steel himself. Seizing the moment, Rhodes hit Cross Rhodes to claim victory — and with it, a guaranteed title shot at SummerSlam.

Street Fight
Next came a brutal Street Fight between Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez. Additionally, the no-holds-barred brawl spilled outside the ring and saw Ripley deliver a devastating Riptide from a table set on the ropes to secure the win.
In a crowd-pleasing third match, fan-favorite Sami Zayn took on the intimidating Karrion Kross in a non-title contest. Despite Kross dominating much of the bout, Zayn pulled off a stunning comeback, scoring a hard-earned victory to the delight of fans.
The United States Championship match between Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa brought raw intensity and explosive power. As Sikoa tried to slow Fatu’s momentum, outside interference from J.C. Matteo briefly tipped the scales. But it was the shocking debut of Hikuleo that proved decisive — his chokeslam through the announcers’ table left Fatu vulnerable, allowing Sikoa to finish the match with a Samoan Spike for the pinfall and the title.
Queen of the Ring
In the Queen of the Ring final, Asuka and Jade Cargill battled in a fierce contest of styles and strength. After a hard-fought clash, Cargill emerged victorious, solidifying her rising status in the women’s division.
The night concluded with a blockbuster main event for the Undisputed WWE Championship as longtime rivals John Cena and CM Punk reignited their storied feud. Moreover, the match was chaotic, with multiple wrestlers interfering throughout. Ultimately, Cena retained his title thanks to a timely assist from Seth Rollins, who disrupted Punk’s offensive surge and tipped the balance in Cena’s favor.
Finally, Night of Champions delivered drama, surprises, and unforgettable moments — a fitting showcase for WWE’s global spectacle in the heart of Riyadh.
