TeamLab Borderless Museum Achieves Vision 2030 Goals, CEO of Quality of Life Program Says

The CEO of Quality of Life Program, Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Bakr, confirmed that the TeamLab Borderless Museum in Jeddah contributes to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 related to developing the Kingdom’s contribution to arts and culture, reported Saudi Press Agency.

It also increases the cultural supply, and prepares the infrastructure to host international art exhibitions.

Al-Bakr said that the inauguration of the TeamLab Borderless Museum aims to advance the cultural aspect so that the museum becomes a cultural and touristic destination for residents and visitors of the city of Jeddah.

Moreover, he added that they seek, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, to prepare the cultural infrastructure in the Kingdom by developing cultural facilities and quality museums that enhance the cultural display in various regions of the Kingdom.

TeamLab Borderless Museum

Middle East’s first TeamLab Borderless Museum opened its doors in Saudi Arabia on June 10. The Ministry of Culture, in cooperation with the TeamLab art team, built the new main museum for the TeamLab Borderless Jeddah Museum in historic Jeddah.

The 10,000-square- metres museum, located on the Red Sea coast of Jeddah, is built on the banks of Lake Arbaeen. It is overlooking the charming panoramic views of historic Jeddah.

The Borderless museum is inspired by the ambiguity of boundaries between thoughts in the mind. It will boast more than 50 experimental artworks designed by the “TeamLab” art group using digital technology. It is the first museum of its type in the Middle East.

TeamLab Borderless Museum is also a unique world of amazing creative artworks. The mapless museum offers a connected visual journey in which artworks interact with each other innovatively to form an integrated creative world.
