The Ministry of Culture’s Historical Jeddah Program has launched the third edition of its Ramadan Season programs for 1445/2024. The city offers a rich array of cultural, artistic, and entertainment activities throughout the holy month. This initiative brings life to the traditions and customs of Ramadan, offering visitors enriching experiences in the heart of Jeddah’s historical district.
Historical Jeddah: Ramadan Destination
Each year during Ramadan, the historical area of Jeddah becomes a magnet for visitors. The city attracts visitors with its heritage ambiance, stunning architectural beauty, and significant historical landmarks. The area is known for its traditional restaurants serving distinctive local cuisines and historical markets offering a variety of products and goods. Additionally, it boasts picturesque squares that have witnessed the passage of time. Historical Jeddah’s mix of culture, history, and architecture makes it a prime destination for experiencing the essence of Ramadan.
Tapestry of Cultural & Entertainment Programs
Besides this Ramadan, visitors to Historical Jeddah will enjoy special programs celebrating the month’s significance. Highlights include “Al-Marqab,” where visitors can gaze at the moon through modern telescopes, and explore the Saudi cuisine with its delicious flavors. Moreover, “Sufra Al-Thuraya” welcomes guests throughout the month for iftar and suhoor.
Historical Jeddah also offers a series of workshops and interactive. To ensure a seamless experience for visitors, parking spaces have been allocated throughout the Historical Jeddah area, “Al-Balad.” To facilitate access to the district’s landmarks and cultural and entertainment sites, shuttle golf carts will be available, making it easier for visitors to explore and engage with the rich cultural offerings without the hassle of navigating through traffic.
