SDAIA – UNESCO

SDAIA was established in 2019 with the goal of driving the digital transformation of Saudi Arabia and AI to improve the lives of its citizens. The organization has since made significant strides in achieving this goal, including the development of a national strategy for data and AI.

Overall, the designation of SDAIA as a UNESCO Category II Centre for Artificial Intelligence is a significant achievement for the organization and for the field of AI in general.  It reflects SDAIA’s commitment to advancing the responsible and ethical use of AI.

Accordingly, Saudi Arabia demonstrates its leadership in artificial intelligence and strengthens its position to foster regional and global collaboration.
