Saudi Team Secures 5 Awards at Asian Physics Olympiad in Korea

The Saudi physics team earned five international awards at the 26th Asian Physics Olympiad, held in Busan, South Korea, from May 17–25, with 209 students from 27 countries participating in the competition.

This latest achievement brings Saudi Arabia’s total tally at the Olympiad to 27 awards since its debut in 2012, including six bronze medals and 21 certificates of merit.

Founded in Indonesia in 1999, the Asian Physics Olympiad is an annual international competition for outstanding high school students in physics. The event provides a regional platform for discovering scientific talent and encouraging academic exchange through advanced theoretical and experimental examinations that test analytical thinking, scientific reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
