KSA Defence Min. Meets Indian Counterpart in Riyadh
Today, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, KSA Defense minister met the Indian Minister of State in the ministry of defense and Ministry of Tourism, Ajay Bhatt.
During the meeting, the KSA-India relationship and the prospects for joint cooperation in the defense fields were reviewed.
Meeting Attendees
Prince Abdul Rahman bin Ayyaf, the defense deputy Minister, Lieutenant General Fayyad bin Hamid Al-Ruwaili, the Chief of Staff attended the meeting.
In addition, Dr. Khalid bin Hussein Al-Biyari. Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs, and Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif, director of the defense minister office, were also present at the meeting.
From the Indian side, the Indian ambassador to KSA, Dr. Suhail Ijaz Khan, and the Military Attaché to KSA, Colonel J. S. Greo, attended the meeting.
KSA-INDIA Relationship
The relationship between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and India is one that has been built on a strong foundation of mutual respect, cooperation, and strategic partnership.
KSA and India have an economic collaboration, which is one of the main facets of their relationship. KSA is regarded as one of India’s main suppliers of crude oil. Consequently, both countries have collaborated to enhance their energy cooperation.
Furthermore, the KSA and India have also collaborated on various strategic and security issues. Both countries have a shared interest in combating terrorism and promoting regional stability, and have worked closely together on counter-terrorism efforts.
In addition, both countries have also engaged in defense cooperation, such as joint military exercises and training programs. Through high-level visits and discussions between both countries, they have managed to achieve further enhance their economic ties.
