Saudia Obtains 1st Place Worldwide in On-Time Performance for the Second Time in Row
Saudia Group, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has topped the global list for on-time performance (OTP), for the second time consecutively, according to a report by Cirium, for July 2024.
Promising Rates
The independent aviation tracking site, Cirium, announced that Saudia has recorded an OTP of 88.15%, marking a slight decline from last month’s performance of 88.22%.
The Saudi national carrier has achieved an on-time arrival rate of 88.12% and an on-time departure rate of 88.15%, operating 16,503 flights to more than 100 destinations in four continents.
Fundamental Objective
Saudia Group Director General Eng. Ibrahim Al-Omar emphasized that securing a high OTP has been a fundamental objective for Saudia due to its great impacts on guest satisfaction.
“Sustaining our leadership in this area requires continuous dedication and resilience in overcoming the numerous challenges within the aviation sector globally,” Al-Omar added.
Bright Future
Saudia is set to receive 103 new aircraft over the next few years, aligning with a strategic plan to double the seat capacity of flights and unleash new international stations.
Three weeks ago, Saudia topped the list of global airlines for punctuality of flight schedules, according to June 2024 Cirium report.
According to the report, Saudia achieved an on-time arrival rate of 88.22% and an on-time departure rate of 88.73% while operating 16,133 flights across over 100 destinations on four continents.
This outstanding success came in June, one of the peak seasons, as it coincides with Hajj and summer seasons.
Remarkable Progress
Since last year, Saudia has not been absent from the list of the top ten airlines in the world when it comes to on-time performance.
These remarkable accomplishments mirror its commitment to providing the best standards of quality and air safety, while managing its operational processes through the largest integrated guest operations center of its kind in the Middle East.
