Saudi Arabia calls on its citizens to postpone their travel to Ukraine

The Saudi embassy in Ukraine called on all citizens on Saturday to postpone their travel to Ukraine for the time being.

The Saudi embassy said in a statement on Twitter: “The Kingdom’s embassy in Ukraine calls on all citizens to postpone their travel to Ukraine at present.”

It added, “All citizens in Ukraine should quickly communicate with the embassy on the following numbers to facilitate their departure,” with the addition of special numbers for the embassy.

This comes at a time when several countries have taken steps to evacuate some of their diplomats and their families from Ukraine and have warned their citizens against traveling to it, against the backdrop of continuing Western allegations that Russia is planning to “invade” this country.

For its part, Russia, which has repeatedly denied any plans to attack Ukraine, has confirmed that it has reduced the staff of its diplomatic missions in Ukraine in anticipation of possible provocations by the Kiev government or other countries.
