The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) launched the first workshop of the capacity-building program of the Yemeni Ministry of Finance within the integrated program to build the capacities of Yemeni government agencies, with the participation of the Saudi Ministry of Finance, at the program’s headquarters in Riyadh yesterday.
Dr. Badeeb Yemeni Minister of Planning and International Cooperation said that the comprehensive capacity building program that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia began offering since the middle of this year to establish sustainable technical cooperation comes to enhance planning, development and public finance capabilities by enabling government institutions to diagnose their needs and assess their capabilities.
The Yemeni Minister of Finance valued the efforts and support provided by the Kingdom to Yemen and the Yemeni people in the most difficult circumstances, and the role played by the Kingdom in all aspects to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
During the launch of the capacity-building program of the Yemeni Ministry of Finance, the General Supervisor of the SDRPY, Ambassador Muhammad Al Jaber, stressed his country’s keenness to support the Yemeni government, its institutions and its brotherly people, adding that the Kingdom does not hesitate to support Yemen developmentally and economically according to a strategy and vision that cares about people.
It is also considered part of the support of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, whose projects and initiatives amounted to 204 development projects and initiatives that it implemented in various Yemeni governorates to serve the Yemeni brothers in 7 basic sectors. These sectors are: education, health, water, transportation, agriculture and fisheries, capacity building of government institutions, in addition to development programs.
