The Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program (Saudi Reef) is set to launch a new initiative in Taif this Wednesday to boost rural tourism and celebrate the region’s rich agricultural and cultural heritage.
Majed Al-Buraikan, Saudi Reef’s Assistant Secretary-General for Media and Communication, highlighted that the initiative aligns with the program’s mission to support rural and agricultural communities while driving economic growth in villages through sustainable agricultural and tourism activities.
The event will feature engaging activities, demonstrations of traditional farming and harvesting methods, and 22 booths showcasing Taif’s iconic sectors, including roses, aromatic plants, handicrafts, and local businesses.
Al-Buraikan emphasized that the initiative seeks to establish Taif as a premier destination for tourism and heritage while strengthening the rural economy. The program also focuses on empowering families involved in cottage industries, supporting farmers, and enhancing the marketability of their products.
