Saudi Red Crescent Performs 1st Medical Evacuation from Grand Mosque’s New Helipad

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) has successfully carried out its first air medical evacuation from the Grand Mosque using a newly operational ambulance helipad in the Third Saudi Expansion area. This milestone underscores a major enhancement in emergency medical services for visitors to the holy site.

The urgent operation was launched after a patient suffering from a heart attack was admitted to Al Haram Emergency Hospital. After receiving initial treatment, the individual was swiftly airlifted to King Abdullah Medical City for advanced care, adhering to the highest medical standards for critical cases.
