The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s Center of Digital Entrepreneurship (CODE) has launched the LogisTech Challenge to support the Saudi Logistics sector.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the initiative aims basically to stimulate innovation and develop new technological solutions within the Kingdom’s thriving logistics sector.
Therefore, the challenge will boost the sector’s productivity and play an effective role in driving the growth of digital economy.
The initiative represents a collective cooperation between Communications Ministry, the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services, the Transport General Authority, Infinite pl, and Logistics.
Crucially, the challenge welcomes the participation of logistics technology enthusiasts, experts, and industry decision makers.
Currently, the registration is open and will last until December 5.
Upon completing the registration process, participants will go through several stages, including acceptance, business model development, final selection, and a training bootcamp.
Participants will introduce practical solutions addressing the challenges of the logistics sector and they will be evaluated on January 21.
In the light of this, the challenge concentrates on 3main tracks, as follows:
- Fleet improvement and sustainability
- Alternative delivery and commerce solutions
- Data-driven logistics intelligence
Through more than 20 training programs and mentoring sessions, approximately 250 participants will acquire new skills and consultations to develop their prototypes.
