The National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) has signed a cooperation agreement with Newlab Company to launch the Logistics Innovation Studio, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The studio aims to find out innovative solutions to address strategic challenges in the logistics sector.
Through advanced technology, the studio will encourage innovation and boost efficiency and environmental sustainability.
The agreement includes various prestigious entities, as follows:
- The Ministry of Transport and Logistics
- Newlab Company
- The General Transport Authority
- The Research, Development and Innovation Authority
- King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST)
- The General Ports Authority
- NIDLP Program
- The Ports Development Company (King Abdullah Port)
The new studio will facilitate cooperation between innovators from all over the world and the transportation and logistics system in the Kingdom.
Thus, it represents a significant milestone in fostering the entrepreneurship sector and enabling entrepreneurs and innovators to market their solutions locally and globally.
Global Logistics Forum
The signing ceremony was part of the first edition of the Global Logistics Forum, being held at the King Abdullah Financial Center in Riyadh.
Organized by the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services, the forum offers a valuable platform for logistics experts and leaders to collaborate and shape the sector’s future.
The three-day forum highlights important sessions and meetings covering the latest technological developments in the logistics sector, environmentally friendly technologies, and infrastructure investments.
